Challenge
Since 2016, Five Pack has owned and operated a popular and highly-publicized product called Hours Time Tracking, available in the App Store and on the web. In an industry where we bill for our time, time tracking tools and precise time reporting is critical to our operations. As the Hours code base aged, it was time for a rewrite that would incorporate years of feedback from thousands of users across the world. Hours TimeLord was the solution to that problem, as well as the opportunity we were waiting for to design and develop new and exciting time tracking and reporting features.

Solution
In September 2021, we began the journey of designing and rewriting Hours TimeLord from the ground up using Flutter’s cross-platform technology. We brought the app to the Google Play Store for the first time, incorporated a lightning fast sync between mobile and web, added forecasting features, increased versatility by exposing team capabilities to mobile, and designed an all new UI; providing an updated look and feel – complete with data visualizations to help visualize where your time goes.
